Meet Mr. J. He is one adorable little boy. I just loved his baby blue eyes. He was such a sweet little guy and did SUCH an awesome job throughout our session. Thanks Mom & Dad for letting me a part of this special time as you celebrate your son’s first year of life.

Can I say that one of the favorite parts of this photo are his adorable little feet. Nothing cuter than some bare little baby feet!

I LOVE this photo. It would look awesome printed BIG.

Everyone of my clients will hear from me how much I LOVE hats…a picture speaks a thousand words as to why…

See what I mean? It just makes me smile. :)

Have a great week! Oh, and I’ll be out of the office for the rest of the week but will be happy to return any calls and emails when I return. Thanks!

This family was so, so sweet. I loved meeting them and their Nana and their Great Nana. I hope you guys enjoy the sneak peek…I really wanted to take this little snuggly 10 day old girl home with me…Aren’t they just adorable??

I had a mini session with the brother while sister was being lulled to sleep. :) He is one awesome little model.

Now can you see why I wanted to hold this little one? Ain’t she the most precious thing??

I can honestly say that time is flying faster with each and every year of my children’s lives. I cannot believe my son will be four tomorrow. Wow. A while back I heard the expression “the days are long and the years are short”. I can completely relate to this. It seems like yesterday that I held him for the first time at the hospital. I’m blessed for sure…We had an absolutely gorgeous day to celebrate and play and of course my son was thrilled that his day was filled with action heroes, Legos and Star Wars.

I read this quote today and totally loved it and totally agreed with it:

“Remember, the shadow is as important as the light.”~ Jane Eyre

Photography literally means to “write with light”. Every day I am learning more about light, more about shadows, and more about how just the right balance of the two makes for a beautiful portrait. I believe it will be a lifelong quest to perfect this balance. Lately, I’ve been wanting to spend a leisure evening at Barnes & Nobles to just look through books of the master artists who have perfected this balance of shadow and light.

Once you get to know me you will see that I have a great love for props – I’m always on the hunt for some new ones. The other thing that you’ll learn is that I love finding new fun spots to take portraits. More than once my sweet & patient husband has had to double back so I can get a better look at a potential spot.

Recently I custom designed a mini accordion custom brag book. I love them! And they are great little book to pop in your purse to show friends and family or to take to work and leave on your desk. I will be including one of these little accordion brag books with the purchase of Discovery Digital Collection.

Have a great one!
